Lynn
Lynnette Hallberg says:
"Some of my earliest memories are of the books I've read. What fun it is now to be able to share the ones in my head with readers, to turn my characters out onto the pages of a book, to watch them weave their stories"

Raised in Pennsylvania, Lynnette Hallberg moved first to Wyoming, landing in Southwest Florida in time to become a charter member of SWFRW. She served the chapter as Vice President and Conference Chair.

Lynnette has a BS degree in Education and a Master's degree in Educational Leadership. She writes romantic suspense and short contemporaries, such as her first published book, ENCHANTED EVENING. Her books have been finalists in the Moonlight and Magnolias' Maggie Contest, the Saskatchewan Romance Writers' We Dare You Contest, and in the national RWA's Golden Heart Contest.

In addition to writing, she teaches middle school language arts and is editor of the school’s newspaper. When she gets a spare moment, Lynnette loves to travel and read. Her travels have taken her to Mexico, Ireland, England, France, Spain, Switzerland, Canada, Gibraltar, Morocco, Italy, and all but two of our states. When home, she spends time with her husband, son, and Siamese cat, named for the heroine of one of her books.

Lynnette is represented by Marlene Stringer of the Barbara Bova Literary Agency. She attributes her success to a great critique group, a supportive husband, perseverance, and a little bit of magic.

Enchanted Evening, March 2000

DO YOU BELIEVE IN MAGIC?
Briana Winters is counting down the minutes to her social ruin. If she doesn't show up at her law firm's charity ball with the "fiancé" she's bragged about, she'll be the laughingstock of the party.

Too bad he's only a figment of her imagination... until a chance meeting brings Dr. Chase Mitchell into the picture. She'd be happy to pretend that the handsome physician is the man of her dreams, if he's willing.

Chase can't say no to a damsel in distress, especially when all she wants is for him to play Prince Charming for one romantic night. It's a role a man could get used to and Briana is beautiful. He agrees, on one condition, she has to save the last dance for him.
